In the past PROFESSIONALINTERIORDESIGNER created and maintained his own state by state assessment of interior design legislation. I did so initially because our professional organizations, whose job it is to monitor, promote, and advocate for legislative activity that affects the practice of interior design, were not keeping current with the ever-changing regulatory landscape. Well since then ASID has stepped up it’s advocacy efforts and they have created a good resource for all things interior design legislation. So if you got this far in your search of information on interior design laws or licensing I will refer you to these two pro-regulations sites;
http://www.asid.org/legislation/
http://www.iida.org/content.cfm/advocacy
And of course here are some links to the anti-regulation sites…why? because there are two sides to the regulatory story so consider the source carefully.

There you go. All of the interior design regulation information you could ever dream of and then some.
