Okay I will admit it…this guy could sell me instant water.

So I have lamented before that we are far too beholden to the whims of fashion and style. Which got me to thinkin’ (OUCH!)  When will we realize that society will not respect us and support our effort to validate our profession via government regulation if we worry about nothing more important than how something looks?

A good place to start would be to overhaul the parameters of interior design competitions. If all interior design competitions were based on performance metrics instead of aesthetics or the “Wow Factor” maybe, just maybe we might eek out a smidgen of respect for our skills and knowledge.
