The latest argument from the Institute for Justice/Interior Design Protection Council/National Kitchen Bath Association cartel is that anybody in Florida can practice commercial interior design. Oh Really?
It is incumbant on every Florida Registered Interior Designer to read and understand the Florida “Building Official’s Guide to the Professional Practice of Architects & Engineers”
While it is true that the ultimate decision to require and accept permit applications is up to the local jurisdiction it is nonsense to say that-
“Bottom line, deregulation creates more jobs, and will not require that all commercial work be done under the supervision of an architect.”

It is obvious that the anti-regulation crowd would not know a commercial interior design project if it hit them over the head. Unfortunately they are counting on the Florida lawmakers to be just as naive and confused. Absolute 1/2 baked bullshit. It is time to call it what it is.
