An interesting but related article on deregulation in New Hampshire.

Shows the Yin Yang of regulation- to protect the consumer or to protect the trade/profession. While I cannot equate the styling of hair with the creation of interior spaces we have to be cognizant of the fact that John Q. Public does. Also interesting to note that Landscape Architecture is always included on the hit list of regulated professions. Hair Braiders/Stylists, Interior Designers and Landscape Architects. WTF?
I would hope that the arguments made by the profession and universities previously would be taken into consideration by the legislators and they would de-couple our profession from others that perhaps do not merit stringent regulation in this bill. In any case, one can never sit back and relax in the Florida sun as the sharks will attack you when your guard is down. Good luck to my fellow Floridians as they fight the battle once again!

Ditto. I hope the Floridians learn from the Virginians who seem to have put on a strategic offense…fighting misinformation with logic.
