IS KARIM RASHID AN “INTERIOR DESIGNER”?

http://www.lvbusinesspress.com/articles/2010/02/08/news/iq_34094794.txt

He’s not NCIDQ certified. He lacks the appropriate education and training….

HELL YES HE IS A FREAKIN’ INTERIOR DESIGNER! He should be able to call himself an interior designer in every state and territory in the union and anybody who claims otherwise is blind. We cannot, nor can the government, determine who can call themselves an “interior designer” or not.  Ladies and gentlemen this is the first Achilles heel of the effort to use the government to qualify who is an “interior designer” and who is not.

We do not own the term, or the title, interior design and we certainly have no right to tell others they do not.

One response to “IS KARIM RASHID AN “INTERIOR DESIGNER”?”

  1. Who am I to tell Dennis Wideman that he is NOT an Interior Designer? Actually I am sure the Boston Globe does not know the difference.
